No Posts Today, But Soon…

Standard

Hi All!  No posts today, sorry.  I’ve decided I need a break from poetry, but I have an idea for a new, exciting type of blog post!

I’m not quite ready to start creating those posts yet, but hopefully I will be ready sometime before next Tuesday.  If I’m not, I will let you know then.

I’ll be posting again soon, guys!  Take care!

Week Off

Standard

Hi All!  I have decided to take a week off from blogging.  I have a lot of other stuff going on right now, including additional writing projects!  If those writing projects go anywhere, I will be sure to let everyone know.

Hopefully I will be able to go back to posting at least one poem every day starting next Tuesday, but if I need more time off, I will let you know then.  I hope you all are well, and be sure to check back next Tuesday.  Take care.

“Concentration” Poem #2

Standard

Here is the second “concentration” haiku I wrote.  This one is about something I can imagine parents and teachers saying to kids; an attitude I think more parents and teachers should have.

Concentrate on this.

Fine, focus on that instead!

Focus on something.

“Concentration” Poem #1

Standard

On “Daily Writing Practice,” http://daily-writing.blogspot.com/, I tried yesterday’s writing exercise, which was to write a haiku about concentration.  I wrote two.  Here is the first haiku I wrote, based on a conversation I had with my sister when I was 9 or 10 and she was in preschool.

“Let’s concentrate now.”

“Concentrate on what?” I ask.

“What does mean, Sis?”
