Flowering Trees

Flowers fall,
Leaves begin to bud.
Flowers made fewer,
Flowers made prettier.

Hard, green berries
Clink against my glasses.
Prickly bushes and pine trees
Sting my hands.

I touch the Earth everywhere,

Waiting For Spring Buds

Trees, outnumbered by
Wait for buds.
Buds on one tree,
Buds on shrubs.

Please come soon, friend!
Where are you?
I’m waiting for my bud,

Spring Rhyme

Buds on a shrub,
Buds on a shrub,
Tulips, trees, and
Buds on a shrub.

Go, calling crows!
Go, calling crows!
Serenade us,
Go, calling crows!

Tall Nature

Each turn of the head
I see mountains,
Each turn of the head
I see trees.
Much taller than houses,
Much taller than cars.
Maybe Man won’t beat Nature.

Winter Treasure Hunt

Deep in the frosty forest,
Among the sleeping trees
We search for cool treasures
Of any imaginable kind.

Trees are covered in icicles.
Snap one off a branch
Then lick it, it might not be peppermint,
But has the magical flavor of frost.

The remains of our snowman!
Let’s take his hat and scarf,
For we don’t want to litter!
Oh, a carrot! Let’s save that for a bunny!

Let’s search under the snow.
Most things there we cannot keep,
For they belong to the forest.
These treasures we find can only be seen.

Now let’s quietly sneak back home,
Let the forest sleep until spring.

Tall Tree

Climbing, climbing,
Up, up, up!
Still far from the top.

Climbing, climbing,
Tree so tall!
You’re way high up! Don’t fall!

Climbing, climbing,
Higher still,
You’ve passed the highest hill!

Climbing, climbing,
Almost as high
As little birds that fly.

Climbing, climbing,
Stop! Here’s a branch!
And plenty of acorns to munch!

High up branch for birds and squirrels,
Both are safe and sound.
By hungry cats
You can’t be found.
